Siempre había querido aprender a bailar flamenco. Es un baile tan apasionado y conmovedor que sabía que sería una experiencia transformadora. Así que cuando tuve la oportunidad de tomar una clase en Barcelona, no lo dudé. La escuela estaba en un viejo edificio de una calle estrecha del barrio Gótico. Tan pronto como crucé la puerta, pude sentir la emoción y la energía en el aire.

El instructor era un bailarín profesional que llevaba muchos años enseñando flamenco en Barcelona. Nos enseñó los pasos básicos y destacó la importancia de tener el ritmo correcto. También nos explicó cómo expresar la emoción detrás de cada movimiento. Pasamos horas practicando y perfeccionando nuestros pasos, pero desde luego no se sentía como trabajo; ¡me encantó cada minuto!

En nuestro último día en clase, realizamos una pequeña rutina de flamenco para nuestro instructor y algunos otros estudiantes de la escuela. Era aterrador, pero emocionante cuando los oímos aplaudir al final. Cuando me di la vuelta y sonreí, estaba lleno de orgullo por haber conquistado algo tan especial.
