Marqués de Cáceres is, once more, one of the most admired wine brands in the world in the ranking compiled by the independent consultancy Drinks International. “For us, it is an encouragement, not an end in itself. We have to constantly evolve in a world as fastchanging as the one we now live in”, says its CEO, Cristina Forner (Born in Aignan-sur-Cher, France, in 1953). This is not a woman who conforms. Every accolade that comes the winery's way is a motivation and an incentive to do something new. She learned about refinement, quality, respect, value and image as a marketing manager in Bordeaux, at the start of her career, in the family châteaux.

Since that time, she has never stopped learning not for a single day, in orden to preserve the strong position of the wine business she now finds herself at the helm of. First, she continued her learning in the realm of export and international development and now in the presidency of Marqués de Cáceres, which has expanded its roots in Spain outside Cenicero: “You never stop learning, you learn in every situation and with every person, and this requires a great degree of humitlty”. She is aware of the economic and energy-related challenges that lie ahead, but she is approaching them with intelligence and level-headed decision-making.
