Henriques & Henriques is the only company on the Portuguese island of Madeira to possess a large number of its own vineyards. The history of Henriques & Henriques, founded by João Gonçalves Henriques, goes back to 1850. After his death in 1912, his two sons, Francisco Eduardo and João Joaquim Henriques, set up a company together which led to the “Henriques & Henriques” name.
