Descripción
Chapter #45 of #NeuroPhysioClub, by AISSE Foundation [@fundaisse], recorded on December, 12, 2022.
Juan Anaya [@juanayaojeda], neurophysiotherapist in Sinergia Center [Granada], interviews Anna te Velde, PhD, a member of the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, who is the lead author of a meta-analysis published in Pediatrics, in 2022, titled: Neurodevelopmental Therapy [NDT] for Cerebral Palsy [CP]: A meta-analysis:

One of the conclusions of this paper was: "deimplementation of NDT in CP is required". So, some weeks ago, we dedicated the chapter #41 for a deep review [in Spanish] of this interesting meta-analysis, with Lourdes Macías [@lourdesmacias1071], from the SEFIP [Spanish Society of Pediatric Physiotherapy]:

The chapter has been a success, the most listened in 2022, with more than three thousand views in 5 weeks and a lot of positive comments on social networks. So, we wanted to go deeper into the subject and have a conversation with the person who better knows about the implications of the meta-analysis; as we discuss in the episode, NDT or Bobath Concept is the most frequent approach of treating children with Cerebral Palsy in Spain. So, the bad reviews were not long in coming and complain about the study limitations. But, in the end, the participants in the chapter are quite in agreement with Anna’s conclusions, so we thought it would be great to talk to the author herself about these limitations.
We have, once again, the company of our dearLourdes Macías and, in addition, Elena Contell [@elenacontell93], who is a Pedi-PT in a Scottish ASN school and also an active member of the SEFIP.
We hope that this first experience in English will be interesting for everyone, thank you very much for your support.
Our soundtrack, as in every episode of #NeuroPhysioClub, is the song "Life" by Roa Music [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkDyKGz1MNY]. CC 3.0.
