As the manager of Persian Pocket Books Publishing House in Iran before the revolution, he discovered and fostered the work of so many great writers who have become household names. As the single-handed force behind Barrasi-ye Ketab (The Persian Book Review), based in Los Angeles since 1990, he continues to shine a beacon of light on Iranian literature and its world context for the benefit of the diaspora community and scholars everywhere. We look forward to his new venture into analyzing Iran’s role in the Persian Gulf during a critical period that shaped today’s political landscape.
