Dr. Carolyn McKinnon, recognized that she was called of God and set aside for ministry since she was nine years old. The sixth child born to God fearing parents, the late Elder Matthew Riley, Sr. and Missionary Martha E. Riley, Dr. McKinnons beginning with working with ministry was in her fathers church. She attended Manatee county public schools and graduated from Manatee High School in 1971. After her born again experience, in 1969, knowing that the Lord had called her for ministry, she went directly into ministerial training. She started working with the Henry L. Porter Evangelistic Association, Incorporated and the Westcoast Centers for Human Development. For over forty years, she has been dedicated to the work of the ministry of Jesus Christ. Dr. Mckinnon was ordained as a minister of the Gospel on December 16th, 1983. In 1991, Dr. McKinnon, received an Honorary Doctor of Music degree, from the Trinity College of Ministerial Arts, Aba, Nigeria, West Africa in accordance with the Golden Gate University, Honolulu, Hawaii.
Dr. Mckinnon has traveled nationally and internationally since 1973. Her travels have taken her throughout the continental United States, the Caribbean Islands, Europe, East Africa, West Africa and South Africa. Dr. McKinnon has conducted workshops, seminars, conferences, concerts, revivals and crusades. Whether shes in a small church, a large auditorium, university or college campus, she delivers a complete word from the Lord and a song that will ignite the souls of thousands. Dr. Mckinnon feels the need and responsibility to educate the people of God. She is a mouthpiece for the Lord and speaks a word of truth. The body of Christ is edified and the word brings them into the unity of the Spirit of God and helps to advance their everyday lives and souls are added to the kingdom of Christ.
Dr. Mckinnon has recorded over 12 albums with the Westcoast Gospel Chorus of Florida. Dr. Mckinnon performed at the White House during the Clinton Administration during the Christmas Holidays. She has appeared on Dr. Bobby Jones Gospel Show, shared the stage with Pastor Shirley Caesar, The late Andre Crouch and his sister Sandra Crouch, the late Albertina Walker, the late Bishop Walter Hawkins, Dorothy Norwood, Dottie Peeples, Yolanda Adams, the Williams Brothers and many others.
Dr. McKinnon is the founder of A Voice To Be Heard Ministry, Incorporated, a religious, educational, and charitable outreach to teach, mentor, train Gods people and to help increase the body of Christ, through the winning of souls, gospel music and through sound doctrine of Jesus Christ. Dr. McKinnon is also a senior Pastor with Lighthouse Ministries and Outreaches, Incorporated, founded by Bishop Charles E. Daniels, Bradenton, Florida. Dr. McKinnon is the mother of four adult children, which she feels is one of her greatest achievements, Matthew (Nalija), Marta, Mydra and Myllanna McKinnon. She is a board member for Westcoast CHAMPS, (Childrens High Achievers Programs and Studies), a music program for youth and young adults. Dr. Mckinnon resides in Bradenton, Florida.ver menos
