They taught her to be kind hearted and to help those who cannot help themselves. While both are great qualities to possess, they tend to leave the individual more inclined to suffer from heart break and disappointment far easier than someone who is hard hearted. However, possessing such compassion gives the author inspiration to write the poetry that she has. She wrote this book during the times in her life that she has felt the most alone, and until recently, kept most of it hidden. The poems within this book are not about one particular person or event, while reading them it is very hard to tell. As she states, it takes a lot of pain to make you feel broken.ver menos
