I come from a family of avid readers and love reading international spy novels, murder mysteries, police procedures, and adventure mysteries. I enjoyed writing essays in school and kept a file of story ideas over the years. Travel is a favorite thing to do, and my husband and I have traveled Europe, Mexico, and to many states within the U.S.
In 2013 we took a serendipitous trip to Costa Rica. A couple of days walking the beach, listening to waves hit the shore and seeing such an abundance of flora and fauna, and I remembered that I liked to write. At that moment, I couldn’t remember why I had stopped.
I started Murder in Costa Rica the minute I returned. As I was writing the story, I was also following news out of Costa Rica and learned about the real murder of biologist and conservationist Jairo Mora Sandoval. It seemed karma was telling me this story had to be written. Viva Jairo Mora Sandoval.
I am a member of Northern California Publishers and Authors, Sister’s in Crime, and the local chapter Capitol Crime, and have written several short stories. I’ve started work on a series set in Scottsdale.
I’m employed with the State of California, Department of Justice, Attorney General’s office where I teach desktop, professional development, business writing, and proofreading classes.ver menos
