Since 1960 she has battled Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. In l985 with new medical complications Minar wrestled with a deep depression. She decided to tackle her denial, accept her situation, and find health. Extensively researching challenges of chronic disease and disabilities, many people shared their lives giving her courage and wisdom. Slowly she
discovered and practiced new approaches to living fully. Embracing her faith, she gained spiritual strength. Practicing thankfulness, she experienced joy. Awaking to gifts and graces moment by moment, she found a rich peace.
Minar is an author, wife, mother of three adult children, and a grandmother. She leads retreats, speaks to churches, women's groups, health groups, educational groups, and conferences.
