She is the author of many books, including After the Locusts: Letters from a Landscape of Faith and Claiming our Footprints: South African Women Reflect on Context, Identity and Spirituality and serves on numerous boards, councils and research panels. In 2005 prof. Ackermann was diagnosed with cancer. Shortly thereafter she realised that her sight was diminishing. These experiences led to her writing this book.ver menos
