in Child Studies and is now a pre-kindergarten educator at a
daycare center in Quebec. Kathy’s teaching philosophy focuses on
helping to educate children about respect, acceptance for those who
are different, and about team work. Presently she uses this book
in her classroom as an educational tool in order to reinforce her
teaching style. Jasmine and Chad Make New Friends is Kathy’s fi rst
published book, and she plans to write and publish more children’s
books in the near future.
Jennifer Hooker grew up in a small rural town south west of
Montreal. She attended Concordia University, where she obtained
a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the program: Specialization in Early
Childhood and Elementary Education. It was during this time when
she and one of her best friends were required to write a book for one
of their classes. After graduating, she pursued a career in elementary
education. She taught for the English Montreal School Board for 7
years, before moving back to the country to teach at the elementary
school that she attended as a child.ver menos
