She is a delightful blend of her father’s visionary nature with astute determination, her mother’s perpetual creativity, and her author Grami’s imagination, resulting in the publishing of this, her first book and summer project of choice. The story subject was inspired by her love for her little sister, Nola, and remained in her control throughout the writing of the book; none dared try to deviate, though the firm suggestion of an ending ensued, lest the book not be finished by age 60! Even at that, it was agreed she could end it with ‘To Be Continued . . .’ It is, after all, she says, an ‘adventure’ puppy! The story — exactly as dictated by Milaa — is copied in her own handwriting, offering great opportunity for her penmanship practice during the summer, and, as well, the art work is her own and as an avid artist was no doubt the ‘frosting on the cake.’ A deep love and caring heart for the children of the Fumbisi Village in Ghana, West Africa, she has determined all sale monies from her book will be to their assistance.
