He has a master’s degree in English and American literature from New York University, certification in school administration from Columbia University, and a master’s in social work from Fordham University, all in N.Y.C. He spent the early part of his professional career as a high school teacher and administrator. Since 1992, he has worked as a psychotherapist for Family and Children Services in Queens, N.Y., as a consultant for the AIDS Center of Queens County, and as a private therapist.
Since coming to California in 1997, he received his license as a clinical social worker and worked for Caritas Counseling. In that ca- pacity, he has facilitated anger management groups for adults and teens, taught parenting classes, and worked as a therapist with couples, families, and individuals. Presently, he is working for the Latino Commission of Riverside County. In that capacity, he is en- gaged in individual and family therapy as well as community outreach programs.ver menos
