As an engineer, he worked on nuclear submarines, supervised assembly workers in factories, facilitated technology transfer from the Star Wars program, and learned to stack washing machines three high in a warehouse with a forklift. His debut mystery, DIAMONDS FOR THE DEAD, was a Best First Novel Agatha Award finalist. He writes the Last Laff mystery series for Midnight Ink: KILLER ROUTINE (2011) and DEADLY CAMPAIGN (2012). He's also the author, writing as Zak Allen, of THE TASTE (horror/thriller) and FIRST TIME KILLER (thriller). He lives in Northern Virginia with his wife and two children.ver menos
